The dates for the next cohort are:

Wednesday 13 March 2024 to Wednesday 8 May 2024 (mid-program break Wednesday 10 Apr)

This time commitment includes 2.25 hours of live sessions per week, as well as applied learning, self-paced reading, and cohort socials. This averages at around 5 hours.

Commitment to the program is important both for your employee as a participant, and others in the Newton community.

Read about the expected commitment in our T&Cs.

What is the application process?

We use Applied to run a blind recruitment process. Blind recruitment means removing all factors that may affect bias such as name, gender, age, education and work experience. Instead, applicants are required to answer three questions that access the skills and attributes the individual can bring - such as motivation, grit, and their ability to overcome challenges. This helps us to assess that they are right for Fundamentals - and Fundamentals is right for them.

The application is open for approximately 5 weeks (subject to change) and the applicant can save and return to their application at any time.

How much is the program fee?

£2,030 plus VAT.

How do I sponsor an employee for the Newton Fundamentals Program?

Your employee must have applied to the program. Should they be successful, your employee can download a sponsorship letter confirming their acceptance to the Newton Fundamentals Program to pass onto you. Your employee can provide us with the details as to whom to invoice and we will send that on. Please let us know if you can’t process payment before the deadline due to company restrictions. In certain situations, we can accept a purchase order as a commitment to payment.

If you do require us to fill out a supplier form, please let us know immediately. You can send it to finance@newtonprogram.vc

We’re thrilled that you’re aligned with our mission! If you’d like to find out more, please visit our website or email us at hello@newtonprogram.vc. We’d love to hear from you.

Newton Ally Fund

Venture capital has a diversity problem.

That’s why our mission is to level the playing field for people from typically and structurally overlooked and underestimated backgrounds - ensuring that the next generation of investors represent the world that we live in.

You can help us get there by being an ally. If you or someone in your network wants to sponsor the next generation of Newton learners, here’s how you do it.

What is the Newton Venture Program Ally Fund?

The Newton Ally Fund breaks down the financial barriers that so many from overlooked and underestimated backgrounds come up against. Let's break down those barriers together and give everyone the equal opportunity to thrive.

100% of your sponsorship goes towards the learner.

What are the benefits for you?

  • Be a part of the future of venture capital and connect with the scholar(s) you've supported
  • Be featured in our marketing across our expansive network and multiple channels
  • Know you have given someone the opportunity to make a difference in the venture capital ecosystem.

How much does it cost to cover a program space?

Your sponsorship may help multiple people … such as two 50% scholarships.

Cornerstone VC provided sponsorship for a place on our NVP06 Newton Fundamentals Program Cohort. This was used to fund two 50% scholarships!

Cornerstone has engaged with its scholars to develop a reciprocal relationship, inviting the scholars to experience being inside a VC firm while providing opportunities for the scholars to give back and grow. This is what makes the Newton Ally Fund extra special.
